As you look over the pages of this annual in later years, we hope it will help you recall the modem trend which held us all in its spell. We hope you will remember the seniors' modem fumiture in the play and modem graduation invitations, the juniors' modem banquet, the sophomores' constant chatter about the latest model cars in three shades, and the freshmen scimrying down the halls dressed in pink and black, We, the staff, have tried to bring you a full, a complete picture of this year's ac- tivities in the most modern way possible. Editor '1-um x I -li h ' ll f 4 i 1 V ' X Our choice for dedication was an easy one i We remember his help in all that we've done ,.,. His friendly smile and funny jokes made work into play. as he drove the Bluntzer bus, unhinged doors for the annual staff, and made chili and beans for the Seniors -- being a faithful sponsor of their class, So to the master of test tubes and scientific smells, we dedicate our 1955 Cotton Picker to Mr. Mac, ii' Mix FOREWORD DEDICATION ADMINISTRATION SENIORS JUNIORS SOPHOMORES FRESHMEN SPOT LIGHT FEVXTUR ES ORG,XNIZ.X'I'IONS SPORTS ,xDviRT1SEMENTS 'Na Texas Slate lf: Teachers Assoclahon :ff 1 h Te x 1'-llxvxaxon -X XMB yk T,-ar INI TR Tl I MV' 'Hy fb . ., v Q .Q-,r ' .214-6, , '- -:gqil , ,. Perfume clings to the hand that gives us roses was the theme of the Rose Cere- mony held by the Seniors on May 20, With a deep serenity the Seniors of 1955 sang Hail to Robstown for the last time, after presenting their roses to the juniors and seating them in the senior section in the auditorium. This was the climax to all of the wonderful memories in the minds of the prospective graduates as they attended their final assembly as students of Robstown High School. The Bausch- Lomb Award, presented to the outstanding senior science student, was presented to Dorothy Leinneweber, who is shown at the above right, and Sue Tubbs was the recipient of the National Arion Award given by the Band Boosters Club. Other medals were given to the senior class officers, the valedictorian, and the salutatorians and Who's Who was announced by Mr. Corder.
