Special Recognitions Some special recognitions were made to some members of the staff. Sherrel Dawkins was voted Teacher of the Year by the eleven top scholastic seniors and attended a special banquet for them sponsored by the chamber of commerce. Susie Kendrick, band director, was voted junior high school Teacher of the Year by the NJHS. Albert Koptis. who has worked with school maintenance for many years, retired in May.
