How can I pass the impenetrable blank of the future?
Remember us? We were the seniors way back in
52 There were no big hurricanes that year none
of us got on television or won a championship Still
it was a year we won t forget for a long time
It all began inthe sunny September of 51 when
we came back as superior seniors to waxed floors
and wide eyed sophomores We had to do a little
rearranging from the executive standpoint as our
president Robert Lasker had moved away We
slid vice president Bob Halligan up to fill the
empty position and chose Bill Hammann to assist
Other officers were secretary Lynda Nicholson
and Marlon Zoeller our cash box handler
Soon the leaves were falling and October was
ushering in the football season Ronmes Weckesser
and O Malley won All Suffolk Honors for the team
We didn t think It possible for a year to go so
quickly' Before we knew it spnng had come and
gone Sports Nite the Masque production and
the concert were over Senior day then our last
wild fling before Regents I I lust know I II fail' J
Commencement' I dont know whether you cried
a little or sighed a lot that summer evening In the
park when you got your diploma but chances are
you re saying now Gee I wish I were back in
the last football game I II go to in high school?
Do you remember then how we all looked for
ward to the first basketball game and the first
snowfall that would mean winter was really here?
Wmter the busiest season of all with the
games the Prom and so many clubs to loin
