District Co-Champions I ,,,, ' , K After two years of finishing second in District 2-AAAA, Coach johnson brought his Rebels through. In the first game, the Rebs simply walked away with the win. Homeruns were hit by Schreiner and Hanks, but in that game everyone hit. In the second game the Bobcats evened up the series after ten innings of play by winning 2-1. It was a pitcher's game alll the way as was evident by Weber's whiffing eleven. The Lee run was scored in the sixth as Hanks was walked, Hammond sacrificed Hanks to second, and then Billy Daniel singled to score Hanks to tie 1-1. In the tenth? San Angelo scored and the game was over for the Bobcats but not for the Rebels. Lee came right back with Mc- Farland hurling and won the District Playoff as they beat the Bobcats 3-O. Hanks, Kimble, Casbeer, and McFarland got one hit each. The Re-bs were then ready for El Paso. 'Terry Schreiner rounds home on his homerun. Terry was the only junior picked to the All-District team and then to the All-State Tournament team. Co-Captains: Kim Hammond and Bobby Weber. 324 District Playoff Scores San Angelo ................ 2 Lee ........................ 17 San Angelo ..... .... 2 Lee ...,.... ........ 1 San Angelo ................ 0 Lee ........ ........ 3 Head Baseball Coach Ernie Johnson capped his third year at Lee High with resounding success.
