Therefore, l would remind you, men and women ol Roanoke, that as you face the struggle for existence in a savage society, the value ol what you learn from day to day has a very important, if not immediate, bearing on your lives and welfare. Your genera- tion will witness many changes and re-adaptations. Youthful and lusty science leads on to constant surprise, it not reversal.
