In order to bring about a better feeling be- tween schools the League has served suppers to visiting teams and Poly's players. During the Christmas holidays the league con- tributed food and Clothing to the needy. A vocational conference was held for girls on March 8 and 9. Representatives from the council have attended conventions at the different schools and from these the league obtained many helpful ideas. Nlany enjoyable assemblies were held for the Girls League during the past year under the direction ofthe chairman, Frances Burke. The numerous social activities were carried out by Charlotte Neipp, the vice president. ETHLYN RAY, Secretary.

Edward Welles has served as president of the Student Body and presiding officer of the Commission with much success for the year of 1952-1935. The Commissioner of Girls' Welfare is Betty Landis, who acts as president of the Girls League. She has successfully con- ducted welfare work and numer- ous social events. Irene Engleman, as Commis- sioner of Entertainment, has given us some fine programs during this, her second year as a Commissioner. The vice-president of the Student Body is Howard Geib, the Com- missioner of Boys' Welfare. He has seen to it that athletics are more highly regarded in the school and deserves much credit. The chief duty of Robert Hunter, Commissioner of Current Publi- cations, is to edit the Spotlight, the school paper. Anne Evans, Com- missioner of Literary Activities, puts out the year book each spring and supervises the debating in the school. Herbert Little and Eleanor Best are the two Iunior Commissioners.
