FOREWORD No man is an lland, intire of it selfep Every man is a peece of the continent, A part of the Maine, -John Donne Life, fact and furious, cruel and cunning, wicked and wonderful, but still life. Each of us is caught in the Maze of life which imposes us with responsibility, for all our actions influence the lives of those about us. As pieces in life's maze we hold the power of the word. This power of word when used for good may help build someone else's life to a useful one, but again thoughtless harsh words may tear a sensitive heart, rendering a life useless. We Rivers student repeat out Motto- You are your tomorrow, work for it today. How well we could say We are our tomorrow, let us work to- gether for it today. We are not islands entire in ourselves, our lives are shaping our tomorrow and the influences of the lives of others are shaping our future even more, for we are a part of mankind. - Y . , ,f fr 4 .
