This year instead of a regular musical the Riverdale public was treated to a variety show entitled Rock around the Fifties. The show mixed music, dance, comedy, and acting to arouse the interest and to entertain the public. The variety show played three nights March 26, 27 and the 28th. Every night brought forth a full house. The cast included: Dianne Beale, Linda Bennett, Dean Bruner, Lisa Bull, Danelle Calvert, Sherri Cathcart, Paige Chaney, Bridget Clay, Chad Cribb, Karla Crockett, Cindy DeShane, Kevin Farraher, Beth Foster, Melissa Franks, Jill Frazier, Jill Hollenback, Bruce Kenady, Holly Kraft, John Lamb, Connie Larson, Kurt LeCIeir, Monica Marshall, Tom May, Cheryl Reveal, Amy Riley, Sherry Ringberg, Alan Somers, Dave Sweet, Rae Taylor, Roschelle Vickroy, Deena Vermeulen, Lori Reiling, Ken Burkett, Lisa Bass, Sandee Simpson, Pennie Combs, Becky Plavak, Reba Young, Sara Fritts, Dawn Bender, Todd Thornbloom, and Arne Boling. The staff included: Sheila Pewitt, Ted Murphy, Cathy Balsar, Traci Dow-Wyatt, Sharon Riewerts, and Andy Apicella. The pit band Nothin' Fancy featheringf Cathy Balsar, Ted Murphy, Doug Duda, Brian Vanspey, and Darin Gritton. The set crew: Dave Sweet, Dean Bruner, Beth Bailey, Rochelle Vickroy, Marna Wiklund, Becky Plavak, Mrs. Dow-Wyatt, and Mr. Apicella. The stage hands: JoAnne Deporter, Marna Wiklund, and Kim Hedden. BOOGIE FEVER Spring Fever Week was full of excitement. The week started out with people dressed in Toga's for Toga Day on Monday. Tuesday was Hawaiian Day. Flowers and suckers were sent by friends and admirers to someone special. On Wednesday people got out their sweat shirts. Thursday was back to the 60's with flower children and hippies. Clues were given on this day for mystory people. The week was round- ed up with an auction, selling anything from pop to slaves, who were to do anything their masters de- sired. The grueling Tug-O-War took place - 3rd place going to PTP , 2nd place to The Plow Jocks , and the Champion Tug-O-War team was, The Dudes. The Tug-O-War and auction activities were - ,.f-, moved into the gym due to weather. The day was ended with a movie called, My Bodyguard. Stu- dent Council sat up and sponsored the week's 1 events, which were said to be quite a success. ..-v' ' WV' if WT?
