The purpose of this group is to provide a music education through performance and to perform for as many people as possible. In order to participate in this group, a person must be selected through a solo audition. The Singers participated in many competitions and concerts such as All-State Choir Auditions and M.T.S.U. Tennessee All-State Choir. They also per- formed a Christmas Concert at Opryland Hotel Con- servatory and for other local clubs and civic organiza- tions. They participated in the Choral Festival at Austin Peay State University and a concert tour to the St. Louis area. They also presented an excellent Stage Band Show, The major fund-raiser for this year was selling candy from Ole Taylor's Candy Kitchen. Many of the past Singers were members of the M.T.S.U. Honors Chorus, Tennessee All-State Band or Orchestra. This year Curt Perkins won a national talent show in Indiana in connection with Junior Achievement. This talented group is directed by Mr. John Bryan. I 36fOrganizations
