Stu- dents who wish to become involved in a chorus class must show an interest in vo- cal music and participate in an audition. The goal of these classes is producing a stylistically correct choral sound for many different pieces of music. In order to pur- chase music, this year chorus classes sold candy from Ole Taylor's Candy Kitchen. They held a Christmas and a spring con- cert and took part in the Choral Festival held at Austin Peay State University. TO EC The Tennessee Office Education Club is an integral part of the office occupations program. Members used typewriters, dictaphones, add' ing machines, computers, and word processors to improve their business knowledge, and ex- ecutives and secretaries discussed various of' fice duties involved in the business field. Enroll- ment in a Vocational Office Education KVOEJ class is a requirement for TOEC membership. Through the profits from the major fund-raiser, the Tom Watt Showcase, various projects were successfully conducted. Also, TOEC students sponsored a successful project for Special Olympics and raised money for the Leukemia Society of Tennessee through a Type-a-Thon. Members of TOEC competed at regional, state, and national levels. Mrs. Jane Warner is the TOEC advisor.
