With the ineligibility ruling we were in a three way tie for last place along with Marengo and Sparta. Johnsville took second place while LaRue, Claridon, and Chesterville tied for first place. We traveled to Howard for an out-of-the-league game, which Howard won 38-0. We also played Waldo, a school which is coming into the league next year. We won over them 26-6 after losing to Marengo the preceding day. That is the first time that we have ever played two games in a row. There were 13 boys who won varsity letters in football this year. They are: Don Belt, George Deickert, John Boger, Joe Green, John Kightlinger, Paul Layman, Jim Kirk, Dennie Sparrow, Dick Stafford, Doug Whiteamire, Jack Whiteamire, and John Wells. 26
