Ricky Vallejo , Jeff Freeman Wed Lydia Flores , Tina Lunghofer The Mock Wedding Becomes Tradition For Family Living The fifth consecutive Mock Wedding was held in the Ingot Room on Wednesday, December 7th at 6:30 p.m. Unlike past weddings which were officiated by local ministers, senior Jimmy Dai- ley performed the ceremonial rites. The wedding was a project of the Family Liv- ing class. Each student was assigned certain as- pects of the wedding preparation for which to be responsible. The majority of the student’s grade was based upon a required wedding notebook. The process of being chosen for the wedding was different than in previous years. Each per- son who wanted to be in the wedding placed his name in a hat. Mrs. Wilson then withdrew names for the various positions available. Bridal Boutique, King Tux and Stephans don- ated dresses and tuxedos. Gerties Florist donat- ed the flowers for the wedding. Two of the dress- es from Bridal Boutique were donated to the school. The reception was held in the Ingot Room im- mediately after the wedding. Ricky Vallejo brought his stereo and acted as D.J. The students brought food and refreshments for the reception. Sloppy joes, deviled eggs, homemade tomales, taco salad and potatoe salad were some of the dishes. Students could attend the reception by invitation only. Each Family Living student was allowed to invite one quest. Above: The wedding party included Michaelene Burton, Dave Bruns, Betty Osborne, Groom Ricky Vallejo and Bride Lydia Flores, Groom Jeff Freeman and Bride Tina Lunghofer, Frank Spear, Michelle Duffee, Ken Collmar and Mary Self.
