J.H. Students Display Royalty At King And Queen Dance The Junior High King and Queen Dance was held on Friday, February 10 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. It has become a traditional event for the junior high, given by the Student Council and Miss Kubiak, Student Council sponsor. Four cou- ples are nominated from each grade. All junior high students then cast ballots in class for the candidates of their choice. The winners of the voting are announced at the dance. Jeff Muha and Donna Collins were crowned 7th grade King and Queen, and Tim Armes and Tina Bartley were crowned 8th grade King and Queen. Below: The 8th grade court included Tim Armes, Tina Bartley, Dwayne Wilson, Carmen Tellez, Phillip Guzman, Glossie Gilbert, Ron Calvert, and Pau- lette Paradine. Prom Was Heaven Brought To Earth May 12th at the Assumption Hall was the scene of a most festive event, the Junior-Senior Prom. Art Guel and Lydia Bristol were crowned King and Queen for the first crowning in sever- al years. Couples enjoyed the music of Midwest Express and a special appearance by Ricky Val- lejo, singing tunes by Elvis Presley. The tables were decorated with stars and balloons to help carry the theme “Stairway to the Stars.” The refreshments served were tuna sandwiches, cookies and punch. Keepsakes for the couples were glasses, napkins and a booklet. Pictures were taken by Spasoff photography. This page clockwise: Paula Christakis and Rod- ney Thompson enjoy each others company.
