The future classes of River Forest will have something to aim for during their school years. A high standard of scholastic achievement that will be the target of on-coming classes at River Forest has been made through determined effort and keen competition found among members of the Class of ’61. This high scholastic honor attained by hard work will reward the graduating class with dignity during adult life. Also will come the satisfaction from knowing that a tradition for excel- lence was set. Tradition of high scholastic achievement will help guide the school to the destiny of excellence that has always been its goal. High school memories will last for a life time — memories of club activities, ball games, classes, teachers and classmates will linger long after graduation. As the class leaves the school and journeys through life, the fraternity of classmates will be shared with joy during announcements of achievement or of honor which will come to members of this class. The school has given a solid foundation on which to build a life. The Alma Mater expects the best from all of its graduates — each one is to build a useful and productive life upon the foundation molded at River Forest. The Class of ’61 will always be a part of River Forest and wherever they go, River Forest will be a part of this class.
