Loren was elecfed parliamenfarian of fhe regional J. S. A. Officers for fhe second semesfer were: Loren Kincaid, presidenfg Marian Vieira, vice-presidenfg Marilyn Travaille, secrefary-freasurerg and Veronica Mulholand, secrefary of publicify. Since fhe J. S. A. is now a parf of fhe Social Problems class, speakers have been asked fo speak concerning marriage problems. The firsf of fhese speakers was Judge Roberf Sullivan. Insfead of a banquef fhe girls presenfed a program and served Iighf refreshmenfs. If wenf over very well and was enjoyed immensely by all who affended. In November several of fhe girls, accompanied by fheir advisers, wenf fo a Girls' League conven- 'lion in Lindsay. Those who affended were Veronica Mulholand, Barbara Gerbing, Croce Migliore, Mrs. Duncan and Miss Boggiano. The girls had a grand fime and fhey broughf back some helpful hinfs, ideas, and suggesfions. hoven, Gomes, Silva, Gomes, Silveira SIGMA BETA TAU Inasmuch as Sigma Befa Tau had purchased fhe business machine for which fhey worked dur- ing fhe pasf few years, fhe club had a rafher un- evenfiul year. However, fhe senior girls of fhe group held several lunch and cake sales for fhe purpose of raising money fo defray fhe expenses of fheir field frip fo San Francisco which fook place during fhe Iaffer parf of April. Everyone had a wonderful fime, and besides being very enjoyable, fhe frip proved fo be educafional as well. While in San Francisco, fhe girls visifed fhe I'IeaId's Busi- ness College, fhe Federal Reserve Bank, fhe Sfand- ard Oil Company, fhe Pacific Telephone and Tele- graph Company, and fhe California Sfafe Employ- menf Service. A+ 'rhe beginning of fhe second semesfer fhe G. A. A. and Sigma Befa Tau enjoyed a social affair in Sfockfon which consisfed of a dinner af fhe EI Khobar Resfauranf, followed by a movie.
