They were: Bill Vander Laan, presidenfg Joe Sanchez, vice-presidenfg Sarah Adams, secrefary-freasurerg and Mary Furfado and Don Peferson, congressmen. ln order fo raise money for fhe Prom, we gave a hof lunch of spagheffi, French bread, and hof chocolafe. This fype of lunch was a big success wifh fhe sfudenfs. Affer fhe hof lunch we found we sfill needed more money so we gave a dance affer fhe Ripon-Linden foofball game. lf was one of fhe biggesf and mosf successful dances of fhe year. For fhe second semesfer we elecfed fhe following new officers: Dwighf Nyquisf, presidenfg Wanda Whifmore, vice-presidenfg and Joan Toombs, secrefary-freasurer. For our class parfy we decided fo have an old-fashioned parfy in fhe gym. Alfhough fhe boys oufnumbered fhe girls, everyone broughf food for fhe pofluck dinner before fhe parfy. Affer all were safisfacforily filled, we had sack races and ofher games. To finish off, we had a rough-and-fumble game of baslzefball. All agreed if was one of fhe besf parfies fhey ever affended. Wifh such wonderful people as Coach Jake and Mrs. Beacom as advisers, we couldn'f help buf have a busy and successful year.

Rosenfeld, SOPHOMORE CLASS The desire fo gef fhe ball rolling possessed fhe whole Sophomore Class as we assembled for our firsf class meefing. Elecfion of officers and plans for fhe ensuing year were fhe mosf imporfanf business. Class officers were: Delores Wassink, presi- denfg Rhyn Pranger, vice-presidenfg Croce Migliore, secrefary-freasurerg Alber+a Marsman and Tommy Arcoleo, congressmen. Firsf on our agenda was calling a 'lruce wifh fhe Freshman Class fhrough +he Frosh-Soph Brawl. The Brawl was held in fhe gym wifh varied games such as volley- ball, baskefball, ping-pong, relay races, efc. Freshmen were required fo wear fheir clofhes inside ouf and backwards. Each was given a reward for coming as direcfed. Their faces fell when fhe long-awaifed award was given, for if was iusf a sfick of gum! lf was like a bombshell exploding when fhe Sophs surprised fhe sfudenf body on Pep Day wifh fancy red and whife hafs and paddles reading, Pep me up. l'm a Sophomore. Also fo confribufe more spirif fo our foofball games we sold pom-poms. ' Wifh anxiefy we faclcled fhe job of giving our firsf school dance. The fheme of School Days was chosen. Since fhe dance was held affer fhe Ripon-Linden baskef- ball game, many Linden as well as Ripon sfudenfs affended. We neffed over S40 and fhe dance was considered one of fhe mosf successful of fhe year. By fhe end ofhfhe firsf semesfer we had worn ouf our officers, so we elecfed fhese new ones: Alberfa Marsman, presidenfg Florence Lial, vice-presidenfg and Kafhleen Nicolaysen, secrefary-freasurer. During fhe second semesfer we presenfed a double feafure show for fhe sfudenf body. The plays were School Daze and The Shoofing of Dan McGrew. Af fhe inframural frack meef, our class sold popcorn and homemade candy. The conclusion of our small fry days in high school has finally come and nexf year we will be high and mighfy iuniors! Our special fhanks go, of course, fo our advisers, MissiKearnan and Mr. Azevedo, who have had every bif as much inferesf and enfhusiasm inlour acfivifies as have fhe sfudenfs fhemselves.
