In the brisk winter air the classes competed for the champion- ship. Gertrude Veenstra served efficiently as scorekeeper for the many games played. The Athletic Council, with Cornelia De Hoag at its head, scheduled a tournament of games and appointed girls to rotate as referees. In this way the girls gained experience in planning and supervising games. The members of the Iunior class were divided among the other class teams since there were not enough Iuniors to make up a team. When the games' wins were tabulated, the Seniors and Sopho- mores were in the lead with the Freshman team following.
