KENNY PARSONS Kenny Parsons, J6 ft., 16U1b. senior, made the Class A All-State first team for the second year in a row. He was an outstanding, broken field runner and many of his touch- downs came on long runs. His total of 125 points was the highest in this area. Kenny was also an excellent defensive halfback. He was named to t.he l.. K. All-Conference team and received honorable mention on the scholastics All- American team along with making All-State. Parsons has been one of the most outstanding football players in the his- tory of R. H. S. ROD HARLESS Rod Harless, is a 5 ft. 10 in., 160 lb. senior end. In addition to being a co-captain, Rod was named to the Little Kanawha All-Conference Team and received honorable men- tion on the All-State squad. Rod was also an outstanding performer in baketball, being on t.he first team for two years. He was also named to the All-Tournament Basketball Team. STERLING OCHELTREE Sterling Ocheltree is a 5 ft. lO in., 165 lb. senior guard. Throughout the year, his blocking and defensive play made way for numerous Viking Scores. Sterl was elected co- captain ofthe team. KENNY SKEEN Kenny Skeen, a 5 ft., 180 lb. senior tackle, was one of the mainstays of the Ripley line. I-le was a consistent performer throughout the year. Kenny received honorable mention on the Class A All-State Team. K. All-Conference team, the Al1-Tourna- ment team, .ind received All-State honorable mention during his junior year. llc was co-captain of this year's Vikings, repeated as All-Tourney, and won the individual scoring championship of the L. K. Conference. Other honors will probably be his as soon as the All-Conference and All-State selections are named. Slater has been a playmaker, rebounder, and scorer for the Vikings for three years. He climaxed a brilliant high school career by pouring in 51 points against Cairo near the end of the regular Season. Slater was also an outstanding football player and received honorable mention All-State.
