But the amalgamation process was swift and relatively painless. Within a few days they had been enveloped by the Raven spirit, and were an integral part of the school. Where's G-3? Looking slightly dazed by it all, these freshmen emerge from an English class. Whatis New? A high school constitutes a living body, gathering its life force from the people who compose it. Having this vitality, it grows and changes as people do. Especially is this so if the school administration is willing to attempt innovations in the established educational methods. It is far easier, of course, to say Theres nothing wrong with the way it was it was last yearn, and let past procedures rather than future needs be the guideline for the present. Fortunately, Rio has people directing its course who do look to the future, and who realize the obligation of flexibility that a high school owes to this very flexible generation. And sp, as in each of the preceding eight years, 1966-1967 saw changes worked in our school-new buildings, new departments, new methods. It gives us pleasure to present, in the following pages, at least a partial answer to the question What's new this year?,' .. and would you realize what Program if ml! it Tomorrow. Hugo
