Ravens 3 Ever since the evolution of the first civilizations of man, there has always been the will to continue onward with great strides. By doing this, man has bettered his own society and allowed for greater societies in future life. Here at Rio Grande we have our own civilization , the past has allowed for a better present and the present for a greater future. Along with this stepping forward there is a great deal- of enthusiasm, tradition and precedents for future Ravens. This formula for a United Student Body carries on from the past to the present and into the future. There is a time for everythingf' it is said. The time for a change is here. As in civilizations, the change from one to another has come. There will never be a change, though, in the fine Raven tradi- tions of school loyalty and enthusiasm. To all Ravens I say farewell and always Fly High Ravens. No institution can give a student truth and knowledge, but through participation in classes and student activities at R10 Grande, I have been equipped with the tools to seek it. My tenure as Student Body Vice-President has been a rewarding experience in that I have had the chance to learn the mechanism of formulating activities for the Rio Grande Student Body. After three wonderful years, I am ready to leave Rio to go on in my studies, but I shall always remember the great sportsmanship, great times at the games and activities, and the great students that I attended school with. It is my sincere wish that Ravens continue to main- tsailnedl and preserve the concepts and ideals which have always been advanced at Rio Grande High c oo .
