Conducting the band this year is our new director, Mr. Ronald Lipka, who is kept constantly busy with the many activities of the band, including perform- ances at football games, assemblies, and concerts. These band officers play important parts in making the band a smooth-running organization: Stewart Olsen, president, Linda Espinoza, vice-presidentg George Collaros, secretary-treasurer, James Hogue, drum major, Linda Espinoza, point secretaryg and Carol Stevens and Donna McCord, librarians. At many performances, the band proudly plays the Raven Fight Song, promoting Raven Spirit. I l All-State members from Rio Grande are, left to right: Ronnie Fuss, Carol Stevens, Karen Kemrner, and Stewart Olsen. These four students successfully competed for places in the All-State Band, a state-wide group consisting of the finest high school musicians.
