Rio Grande tipped their basketball season off by meeting their new city rivals Del Norte. Because of Del Nortels lack of experience the over-powering Ravens came out on top 84-43. Rio's next opponents in 64 were Irwin and Burgess from El Paso. Rio came out with one loss, one win during the session. As the season progressed, the Albuquerque High Bulldogs downed Rio, in the Ravens' first close game. The final tally was 49-48. High flying Freddie takes over. Fullerton adds two more to his growing number of points. Davidson and Shawn leap for the ball against Albuquerque High. I74

Steve Gust lays in two points as Rio defeats the Monarchs. The Manzano Monarchs came to Rio Grande in search of their first Win of their 64-65 season. When the Monarchs came into the game they had an 0-8 record and when they left their record was 0-9. The versatility of the Rio Ravens helped them out-play the Monarchs in what turned into a 60-40 victory over their opponents. They're bigger but not better. Ravens out rebound Manzano.
