Student Council is made up of one representative from every homeroom. It is divided into 11 standing committees. Student Council supervises all student activities. All clubs and organizations work under student council. Because the newly-organized class system has not yet taken over their duties, Student Council sponsors all dances, organizes all assemblies, and runs all other events such as Twirp Week and Bermuda Shorts Day. Also a very important purpose of Student Council is to be a forum where the students can bring their questions and ideas about everything that concerns them and their school. Sponsor ot Student Council is Mr. Frank Sanchez. SPECIAL ACTIVITIES COMMITTEE SCRAPBOOK COMMITTEE The Scrap book Committee keeps a pictorical record of all t maior events of the year at Rio Grand-e. SEATED: Frances Montano, Dora Quintana, and Judy Armiio. STAN ING: is Aaron Gonzales. Takes care of anything extra that comes up. FIRST ROW: Carla Dunlap, Cynthia Nix, Jeanette Garcia, Annie Ternest.
