Debate Club embers Work Hard FIRST ROW: Kirk Aleck, John Conlon, Annie Ternest, and Dee Ann Wilson. The members of Debate Club sacrifice their time to practice after school, and to do research work on debate topics. Debaters must learn to reason and speak spontaneously on various dif- ficult topics. lt is, perhaps, one of the most difficult activities carried on at Rio. At the beginning of the year only four students were in Debate Club. By the second six-weeks eight students were preparing for competition with debate teams from other schools. Science Club Operates Photo Service The main project of the science club this year has been to offer the students of Rio Grande a photograph-developing service. The Science Club members donate time after school to develop pictures at reduced rates for Rio Grande's camera fans. Los Historianos . . . The club was organized in December of 1962. Mrs. Hinton is the sponsor of Los Historianos. The club members work in the Old Town Museum on Sundays. Los Historianos is the only Junior Historical Society in New Mexico. We have taken field trips to various other museums in the state.
