During the 1987-88 season hard work, enthusi- asm, dedication, and team unity were the comerstones for the Rams' return to bas- ketball respectability. Winning the Charleroi Cougar Booster Club Christmas Tournament was the beginning, back-to- back road victories over Laurel Highlands and Connellsville gave the team momen- tum. An upset over McKeesport and a spot in the WPIAL play-offs was the conclusion to a great year. With a junior dominated roster of experienced players returning for their third season in 1988-89 and some promising sophomores, the Rams' future looks bright. If they maintain the work habits set by Coach Pergola's first two teams and remember that They are all in this together maybe 1988-89 will be The year of the Ram. Small in stature - Large in heart 159
