MISS MERRY CHRISTMAS and her attendants have been sponsored the last two years by the Rifle Chamber oi Commerce. The three girls are elected through a secret ballot by the student body. The girls were driven down Main Street with the high school glee club behind them singing carols. The big moment came when Santa arrived, crowned Miss Merry Christmas, and handed out candy to the ldddies. .., , . L enior-junior Pram The junior girl and boy chosen by the senior class to reign as Sr.-Ir. Prom Queen and King were, top picture: Arlene Nidiffer: bottom picture: Bill Sweeney. WHITEY HUTTON Plumbing and Heating Best Wishes to Class ot '54 NATA AND BILL MASON The class of '54 presented their prom on the night of December 23. 1953. The Spanish theme was artistically carried out with multi-colored crepe paper streamers hung in the form of a huge sombrero above the dance floor. hun- dreds ot balloons, little ielt sombreros, and the words Feliz Novidad CMerry Christmas in Spanish! pinned on the stage curtains. The climax of the eve- ning came when Ir. Queen and King. adorned in their little sombreros, broke the chicken pinata. With the scramble for goodies out of the pinata still fresh in everyone's mind, the seniors felt quite proud when Mr. Swenson stated they had given the most successful Sr.-Ir. Prom in many a year.
