Gene George has accepted a position as mechanic at the John Deere Co. Mrs. Otis George, the former Bonnie Falke, was in town today and reported that Gloria Holtz, the New York debu- tante, is visiting her folks for a few days. Kayo Keller left today for Mayo Bros. Hospital where he will undergo an operation on his leg so he can become a boxer. Doctor Robert Welsh will be his doctor and his nurses will be Helen Hoagland and Georgia Rae Morgan. All are former residents of Rifle. Ben Miller will leave tomorrow for St. Petersburg, Florida, where he will resume his training with the Cardinals. He was their star pitcher last year. Lester Langstaff, Forest Ranger in White River National Forest, tells us that all roads are now open and in good condition. Jo Neal left today for Arizona where she will visit a dude ranch run by Floyd Nobles and Ralph Strohmeyer.
