On Thursday November 10, 1977, the Senior Class .met in Richards parking lot, at 8 a.m. The dress was warm, and the topic was a trip to Diamond Lake. Everyone who could drive a car loaded up, and headed for Diamond Lake. When we all met at die Lodge parking lot, it was noticed hat not only the Senior Class decided to join the event. Anyway, everyone pitched in a dollar in order to rent a cabin. Some people took off for the snow right away, which was about 10 miles further up the road. They tied inner tubes to the back of Rick's truck, and he pulled them through the snow. Even though they got soaked in the process, the fun was well worth it. Meanwhile, the rest stayed back at the cabin and sat around and talked, while watching the excitement, which was probably just as much fun as playing the snow. When 4:00 came around, most packed up and headed for Riddle, but a few stayed behind and cooked hot dogs, and later headed for home. A couple even stayed the night beings the cabin was paid for.
