Stuart. As were many other people, Mr. Stuart was quite interested in the progress of our new addition. The men seated below were the members of our School Board who saw fit to put the issue before the voters which eventually led to the completion of our new dressing room-classroom facilities. Members are: Harold Olsen, E. E. Daniels, Chairman; Fred Vedder, Clinton Hedberg, and Wayne McCoy. Not pictured is Mrs. Mildred Vaughn, clerk. Faculty MR. JACK SALO B. A. Their jobs were many and varied; there were times when they were unthanked. Student Government is impossible without leadership. These students provided that leadership. JACK BALL, President Unfurling our flag in preparation for a Student Body meeting are Bob Sailv, Vice-President; Lynda Myers, Treasurer; Deanna Harper, Secretary; and Bruce Minmaugh, Sergeant-at-Arms. 7 Student Council The Student Council, the official student governing body, is composed of the student body officers, the class presidents and the class representatives. This year the Council took charge of the Homecoming plans, which included a successful Rally, a rousing Parade and the traditional Homecoming Dance. Other activities of note include the completed revision of an out-dated Student Body Constitution and taking charge of the student Christmas Program and Dance. Left to Right: Shirley Wells, Dennis Hunt, Treva Buley, Diana Simmons, Lynda Mvers, Deanna Harper, Gary Slay, Jack Ball, Marty Bonn, Roger Foster, Bob Saily, Bruce Mimnaugh, Phil Newcomb and Bill Markham. Q ii ST CD CD n CD iip ilium Do You As a Sophomore you racked up the microscope, as Delaytie Franklin and Walter Brown are doing, and set to work to produce those beautiful drawings ? The Juniors complained about those tough United State History exams? Faye King and Gaila Owens are having a study session to learn those dates that plagued them throughout the year. As you sat in front of vour music stand each morning and warmed up your instrument, you longed for the new music room to be completed? David Clark, Maxine Shelby and Chuck Gordon waited patiently as did the other Band members. 10 Remember When? You were in the Bookkeeping class with Peggy Koerner and Gary Lousignont and everyone was concentrating on getting those accounts to balance? Janice Rhoads and Richard Jones had to untangle plenty of Knotty” Physics problems and experiments along with the rest of the class? It was fun, but those tests came regularly. fK The whir of the machines from the shop class got to be almost deafening, but you knew that Mom would be very proud of the lamp which took so much time to make? Dennis Whaley puts the finishing touches on his lamp as Gene Morrison gives expert advice. The lights burned long and late so that Tom Bonn and Bob White could finish those mechanical drawings and hand them in for a grade? There always seemed to be work for everyone and a certain sense of accomplishment for a job well done. 11 r You had a touch of envy for the students like Karen White and Sharon Lousignont who got to test all of that interesting Driver Training equipment? And when the new green Ford was delivered they all got to take joy rides regularly? As you walked up the hall, you were greeted with a smell that made vou feel as though you hadn't eaten in weeks? As it turned out it was Moiselle Morrison, Carol Johnson and Lorraine Cam practicing how to bake a tempting morsel in Home Economics class. As Seniors you put in long hours in the library writing those term papers for Social Problems? Nina Henry, Mitchell Sell and Ramon Stremcha discuss their topic. Those English vocabulary assignments set your head to spinning with definitions? Pat Cyphert and Ann Johnson are getting prepared for tomorrow's class. Freshman Class Offi cers The Freshman class started off the year with plans that included: a rag drive, class dues, and a luncheon. A community project was also considered. Four diligent frosh represented their class well by re-erecting and repainting the R for the Homecoming.
