But during the summer we lost some of our classmates. Jacque Eddins, Howard and Roscoe Ritchey, moved to other towns. Ray Cripps and John Rigsby joined the Navy. Noma Townsend was crowned Homecoming Queen for this year. Our class presented a three act comedy “Hurrican Harriet.” Taking our day of leisure, we made a trip to the coast. Jerry Myers and Phyllis Huffman were elected King and Queen of the Junior-Senior Prom. Motto : Days of Work Mean Years of Success.
