Log EighTh Term has come aT lasTl We've leaving The school ThaT we came To Tour years ago as Freshmen. IT was a hard sTruggle buT we made iT. And whaT's more, we've accomplished Things since ThaT evenTTul SepTember day when we climbed Those Tour TlighTs oT sTairs To our new oTTicials aT Annex 90. Since we TirsT sTarTed The Journalism Club, we've been giving service To The school. Mary Lou Quinn was The TirsT AssisTanT EdiTor oT The club and They really worked ThaT Term. There was a Spelling Bee in The Assembly where JaneT Rodger showed us all up and Took TirsT prize. When The TirsT Third ended, sixTeen per cenT of The Freshman Class was on The Honor Roll, and when The second Third rolled around, The Honor Roll held TwenTy-Tive per cenT oT our class. We had one hundred per cenT G.O. membership and STuarT Warshauer was insTalled as Vice-PresidenT of The Annex G.O. ThaT Term The G.O. ran a gala ChrisTmas Dance and gave us a good send-oTT Tor The big holidays. Annex 90 supporTed The EighTh, and lasT, War Loan by selling six hundred dollars in bonds and Three hundred dollars in sTamps. Remember The posTers we worlced on so hard in arT7 ATTer weeks oT worlc and exhibiTian wiTh The Tinal conTesT in The Assembly, The winner was announced . . .John Tegeler. Then came Freshman Dayl We proudly wore our big red bows To The show ThaT marlced The oTTicial end aT our TirsT Term. The highlighT oT The day was a play called Up in Mabel's Room and our Freshman Day neTTed eighTy-Two dollars proTiT, Topping all previous Terms. BeTore we lcnew iT, our TirsT Term aT Richmond Hill had passed, and we were well on our way Towards Spring, In second Term, as beTore, we obTained one hundred per cenT G.O. membership and Mary Lou Quinn became G.O. SecreTary. We helped organize such new clubs as The LaTin Club, The DramaTics Club and The Tennis Club. When The TirsT Term came To an end, one hundred and TwenTy-seven oT us made The Honor Roll, buT second Third was even beTTer wiTh one hundred and ThirTy-one sTudenTs achieving honor averages. Our assemblies were Talcen up wiTh such plays as Across The EquaTor given by The Spanish Classes. The Science DeparTmenT, noT To be ouT- done, gave one Too, which was wriTTen by Two members aT our class. IT was in Third Term ThaT mosT oT us came To The Main. ThaT Term There was a sign ThaT The war was really over Tor among The Three Thousand and ThirTy-six regisTranTs There were TorTy-eighT veTerans, The swimming Team won The borough championship, and Commodore, who TaughT our Tellows how To win, began his sevenTeenTh year as coach. For The TirsT Time in The TorTy-eighT year hisTory oT Richmond Hill a bowling club was sTarTed. Domino again won The all-American raTing, malcing iT The TiTTeenTh sTroighT Term, Qur music deparTmenT presenTed The opereTTa 'lolanThe and among f 'k x X IQ amend H Noni' N I Z...
