Lee eX ze aos = i Bie | Gory Lee A “The RUHS Tower One of the city of Rich ond's' nfost note- worthy sites is the eighty-five foot tower of, Richmond Union’ High School which is the school's contribution to the landmarks of the vicinity: °° @ : j The tower, which was constructed in 1927 — and is located at 1250 Twenty-Third Street, wag, first occupied by the Music Department. The tower attic has served as a storage room, mostly for stage props and costumes, throughout ° the years. After the construction of the music building in 1953-54, Room 63, the tower classroom, was used by various departments for classes. Due to the lack of emergency exits, the tower be- came vacant from classes last year. At the present time, the room is used for storing the English Department files. ————
