Each girl hod ro sir calmly, wearing a formol gown, fighring rhe burrerflies Singers sang and done ers danced preceding rhe ocruol crowning of rhe Queen. Two rhousand eyes srrained. and o rhousond hearrs pounded ro rhe Homecoming cruel srep of rhe announcer's feer as he calmly srrolled bak and forrh on rhe srage. Ten pairs of heels melred inro rhe srage. Ten pairs of knees wobbled, and ren hearrs sropped The announcer finally revealed rhe new Queen, and every one, especially rhe candi-dores, felr happy ond relieved as rhe crown changed hands for yer onorher reign. The resr was easy ond reloxed. Fronr row sears ar a rradirionaliy rainy Homecoming Game, a dinner and rhe dance conduded rhe ceremonies.
