■ 'f At =■ £3 DEDICATION The Quill is proud to dedicate its' 1985 Yearbook to Miss Joan Palmer, in recognition of her 34 years of teaching. Miss Palmer retired in June 1985, after 32 years of dedica- tion at Richburg. She earned much admiration and re- spect from students, faculty, staff, administration, and the community. Her generosity, fairness, sense of humor, hard work, and sincere interest in education and in her fellow man will long be remembered. Miss Palmer taught numerous courses, was the Advisor to six classes, a Yearbook Advisor, Basketball Scorekeep- er, Extracurricular Funds Director, and an active Faculty Association member. We have been fortunate to have an individual of such high caliber in our school. We are grateful for her guidance and friendship and wish her many happy and healthy years in her retirement. 2
