Dedication We have known you for but two years, and already you have found your way into the hearts of the people of Richburg. Students and faculty alike have a great deal of respect for you and what you stand for. Therefore, in view of the enormous progress which you have brought to Richburg, we the 1966-1967 Quill Staff gratefully dedicate our yearbook to you, MR, BRUCE T. FORNESS, After graduating from Olean High School, Mr. Forness attended Oswego State College. He then went on to St. Bonaventure University where he received his Princi- pal Certification. During his teaching career, he taught such subjects as Industrial Arts, Mechanical Drawing, Seventh Grade Science, Welding, Woodworking, Ceramics and Driver Training in Lyon Mountain Union Free School, Naples Central School, and Portville Central School, He also served as Adult Education Director in Portville. Mr. Forness has found time to be active in community affairs also. He has di- rected a Junior-Senior Church Group, served on the Executive Committee of the Sene- ca Council Boy Scouts, acted as chairman of the March of Dimes, held the office of both president and secretary of the Portville Kiwanis, and was a member of the Exec- utive Committee of the Portville Mens' Club. These make up only a small part of the list of groups he has been associated with. In 1965, Richburg welcomed Mr. Forness as the new principal. We feel that he has helped immensely to keep the school running smoothly and efficiently during these two years. We hope that he will remain at Richburg Central School for many years to come.
