They watch as each must take her turn, Eight lovely maidens-that they may learn WVhat the future holds-and she speaks, nor falters, The crystal gazer bending o'er the altar Where is placed the crystal clear as clear- She is speaking, hush, for we must hear- She calls a name- Bertie Warreii, you- But Miss Warreri gasps VVhat shall I do? The Crystal Gazer: You long have searched for your ideal. The superman awaits you. No longer must you wait for within the year you are to meet him. It will be a cyclonic affair for he will sweep you completely from your feet! Tall he is and dark, his wavy hair, thick and black, his eyes-and there lies your capitulation, fair one, for you are powerless under the gaze of him who shall away your very life. His outstanding mental ability makes him the leading figure in his community and a social triumph wherever he goes. I see the Judge as he solemnly pronounces her sentence, Guilty! The headlines of the Extras which were being sold in all directions read: Miss Marta Selma Morgan, Sued. Summing up the details it appears that Miss Morgan has appeared several times in like scenes before she finally retired to her quiet suburban home with the real choice of her heart-he having been convinced that these trials before the law for Heart Balm served only to make her sure of her own heart where he was concerned. Even the delivery is made by these same laughing maidens. Miss LaRue Barbee has devised a place whereby all young girls receive daily a telegram which hinders good work. Her vast fortune left to her by a distant and unknown relative is being used to bring joy to untold thousands of young ladies who are making their way in the world. Miss Barbee's explanation is that telegrams always brought her so much joy that she longs to share the gladness with others of her age and sex. Her office will continue after her marriage which is to take place within two years. Another court scene comes to view. Miss Sudie Boykin is on the stand. She is proclaiming loudly and vehemently against the opposing forces, which seem to give way before her force of argument. Her practice in argument while in training serves her successfully in her chosen profession as a lawyer. The Crystal Gazer slowly raises her eyes from the globe before her.
