Our year came to an abrupt close after all these actlvrtles and agam we were off to enjoy our vacation Tovsard the end of the summer we couldnt walt to get back to school fbelreve lt or notj our vush soon came true Early rn September we came trudglng up that famlllar h1ll ln our new clothes We kept saymg Are we finally sen1ors And then we looked around us No there was no one older than we We must be they' But we felt no drffer ent The thrlll was gone because vse finally had made the grade Off to a brxsk start we elected our officers Elllot Fmkelstem was handed the xems Buzzy Fusco asslsted hlm dlllgent Jean Moore recorded our actnltxes, and Pat Myers was our banker After Chrlstmas and many assemblles we had our Semor Prom on Frlday the 13th Al though the date had rts dark clouds over It the golden l1n1ng was shmmg over our prom The audltorrum was decorated beautlfully by our decoratlng COmm1tt69 and the Snowflake Fantasy was a big success Over one hundred couples danced to the StldlllS of the music After Lols McLaughl1n and Louls Generazzo had been crowned Klng and Queen we departed for Bos tons many XKTIOUS nrghtclubs None of us mll forget our talks by the adusors from the dxfferent colleges These talks were most 1nterestmg and helped to gurde many of us ln our future We are all grateful to Mr Whelan for havlng allowed them to talk to us A song poll was taken for WHDH Don t Let the Stars Get 1n Your Eyes captured the fancy of the students As March came along we were st1ll waxtmg for that one blg snowfall We had not had our Sports Day yet but our fingers were crossed and our sled runners sharpened but no luck Next we voted for our Super Semors The results were as closely guarded as the atom bomb secrets Our yearbook The Lantern' went to press, beatmg the deadlme easily, thanks to our Mlss Strong Gradually our h1gh school days were commg to a close On June 5th we danced our hrgh school days away at a receptlon tended us by the Junior class So rt was that we began Senior Week Our p1cn1c was held 1n June at Whalom Park Then came Class Day Awards were grven our Mar1on Gould and George Mauro gave the prophecy, words of wxsdom were lmpar ted by Robert Plccus our orator Vlctor P1tz1 and Marjorle Shane revrved all our memorles accumulated durmg the last four years and Renee Golb ably reclted the class poem That nlght we attended the last function which vue planned as semors our last roundup One June 11th ue donned our blue and xx hlte caps and gov ns and assembled at the Revere Theatre to recene our dlplomas At the close of the cere monres we sang Auld Lang Syne and many a tear ghstened as we streamed out of the theatre Thus vie blmg to a close our first twelve From now on there ls nothmg to do but look back We finally made the grade but many of us vlould do anythmg to be back m the Frosh Soph, or Junror year for one day and be able to look forward to It agaln After ue hase recerved our dlplomas we mll be forgotten students at R H S but these events vs1l1 lne mth us always We the wrlters of thls history haxe trred to enclose herem the happenmgs and events of our hlgh school days We VlflSh you our class mates the best of luck m your future years and whenever you may feel rn a remxmscent mood, open your yearbook and lne agarn the good old days MZIJOIIQ Shane Vlctol Pltzr Class Hlstorrans . . . .
