VARSITY BASKETBALL Led by the ine playing ot Terry Moore and All-Valley' Marty Pouohey, Reseda's basketball teoim finished a fine season in third place, The Regents toughest Competition Came from BQrmingham and lffonroe as those two toorns fnished oneetvfo in the league standings, The Leernen opened the season in good form by defeating Manual Arts 49 to 45 on our home Courts, ln the next game the Regents were stopped short by Poljfs Parrots E5 to 42. Alter eztendQng the losses in the proiotioe season to five, loos- ing to Universltj E2 to 52 and to Rurrrowghs 67 to 54, the Regents opened the league by defeating lfonroe 42 to 4l and Cleveland EE to 42 Reseda lost the next four in a row, They fell in defeat to llortn l-lollgf'x,rood 72 to 42 in a non-leagae game, to Canoga E4 to 53, to Birmingham EC to 38, and to lfonroe io to Sf.
