PAND This year the band worked in congunction with the Naponee band On Mondays the bands practiced separately, and on Thursdays the two bands pract1ced togeth er, in one month the entire group going to one school and in the next month both groups going to the other school The above picture is of the comb1ned band pra- cticing at Republican City Of the local group, Allen Smlth played trumpet,Jer ry Smith the baritone horn, George Hunt the cornet, Joan Waldo, clarinet, Joyce Waldo, drum, Rodney Rodenbaugh, tuba, Dianne Schluntz, clarinet, Denn1s Schluntz cornet, Brett Bishop, clarinet, Dennis Ott, clarinet and saxaphono P T A During the last part of the 195k 55 school year plans were formulated for organizing a local P T A Mrs Hide of Hastings the area representat1ve of the State P T A organization, helped organize our ocal chapter That meetlng was held March 30, 1955, and Mrs William Frazier was elected Pres1dent, M s Floyd Sprague Vice President, Ernest Haussermann Secretary, and Mrs Willlam Schluntz Treasurer The above plcture shows its officers To get the organization under way, a regular meeting was held Tuesday,April 26, 1955, at which time by laws were accepted by the group The Executive Comm ittee met in September, 1955, and worked out the following program September 22 Teachers Recept1on November 16 School Lunch Panel December 22 Christmas Program January 26 Safety Program February Founder's Day Program March 22 Shop and LH Program Election of Off1cers April 26 Band and Installation of Offlcers f October 27..:::::::::::::Pund.Halsing, Square Dance 16222
