Senior Class Officers Seemnl Row-Young, Cross, Leach, Phillips First Row-Armo, VVy1ie, Baker, Browne Senior Glass N' 1931 the graduating seniors, one of the largest classes ever assembledvliere, entercd V. U. H. S. very proudly. Most of their first year they spent in ac- quainting themselves with V. U. H. S. life. Members participated in sports, dramatics, music, debating, and the activities of the California Scholarship Society. They also presented one of the finest freshman assemblies ever staged in the school. As sophomores, the class of 1935 produced a11 unusual number of athletes and honor students. On February 19, 1932, they staged the first carnival in honor of freshmen. In the spring, several members of the class took leading roles in the operetta Oh, Doctor. The Iunior Prom was the outstanding event of the next year. In honor of the outgoing seniors, the gymnasium was transformed into a Hawaiian scene. Palm trees and a little grass hut completed the tropical atmosphere. Many successful bas- ketball dances further contributed to the gaiety of the year. Now the seniors oi' 1935 are about to leave V. U. H. S. Some ol' them, we hope, will retur11 to us as junior college students. They are a class with a splendid record of praiseworthy work. Best wishes for success in all your aspirations-class of 1955! 35471, fX Q. F' ig 1
