Page 47 football at . . . 'Tis rightly said of this year's crnsading Terrier gridmen that no fner men of might have trod a football turf. In spite of a woefnl season which beset them, these gallant knights of the Ronnde Room emerged a vastly improved team. Clad in new blue armor, this courageous team did invade the borders of yon Fullerton for a practice encounter, only to be humbled by their powerful hosts. Tutor of the field, Douglas Olderf shaw, then prepared his charges for the Ri'zfersia'e rift, our first League fray. Those wretched Poly Bears, trailing at intermission time, took the field to defeat our champ- ions by a disheartening 13 to 6 count. Chajjfey, our next quarry , shone brightly in their champion- ship armor to the extent of injuring Captain George Redmond and scoring 21 points against our none. Then, in the game twixt RHS and the Black Knights of San Bernardino towne, the Cardif nals did cause ns bitter defeat- Next, the hamlet of Pomona was the scene of one of our best played games when the Red Devils felled us with 14 points. Colton Visited ns for the last and most exciting game of the year. All Redlands was sure of a C.B.L. victory until the last 30 seconds of that memorable fracas. Yellow jacket wizard, Dare Swing, unsheathed his mighty singing sword and cut the hearts of many a local rooter as he zip, ,bed a pass to a teammate in the end zone to bring home the Victory bacon for the Hub city.
