6 CFFICERS 1 BARNEY Tx1ARsH.ai.L P.-xriufiia Cioiu President X'zce'Pi'e.v:tlevit X111 l'Rl ii Ouxisriiiif Dick Haiuiv Sscrettlry Tl'L'i,lNlll'Cf' HAT a grand time we've had! Thatis our first thought when we, the members of the Class of 35, look back upon our high school life. May our future be as bright and as pleasant as these past few years have been. It was in the wee, small hours of December 7 that we Seniors gathered for our traditional Treasure Hunt. Instead of holding it at the Eucalyptus Crove as is eusf tomary, we were forced, because of rain, to have it at the Y. M. C, A. This arf rangeiiient was most satisfactory, and everyone enjoyed himself immensely. After being served delicious refreshments, all of us returned to school to see the Treasure Hunt play, Farewell, Cruel VX'orld. Une of the most successful social events of the school year was the Senior Class dance held at the Contemporary Club on February S. The hall, decorated in a prof fusion of red hearts, some large and some small, made an attractive setting for the dancers. XYe secured from Pomona Paul Maitral's dance orchestra which was very popular. Mr, Maitral kindly offered to give a matinee program of recent dance tunes on the Monday afternoon preceding the affair. This idea was carried out. and it created a great deal of enthusiasm for the dance as well as aiding the class financially. We Seniors are very proud of the Senior Class Play, uilrowing Pains, which was presented on the evening of March 16. Everyone proclaimed it an unusual sucf cgss. 'At this time we wish to thank Miss Smith, our draniatics instructor, who worked so hard and so faithfully on this production. This year the l'roinu which the juniors gave the Seniors was most delightful. Both the decorations and the music were unusually good. Thank you, juniors, for a very enjoyable evening. Th: editing of the Makio is the most important task that the Senior Class un' dertakes. By it we are remembered by others. All of us join in lauding Virginia, our editor, and all those people who have been under her. They have worked much harder to make this book a success than any of us realize. The Senior Class is grate' l-Lll Ui ymill. Now we wish to thank all of the people who have made high school so pleasant for us: the faculty. the otlice force and especially Mr. Shaper and our class advisors, Mrs, Scott, Mrs. Xhvaldrop, Mr. Yount and hir. Johnson. They have cooperated with us in all our undertakings, and have acted wisely in curbing our more impetuous schemes. XXI' owe them much more than we can express. - Mlriikiii klHX1s'IlInl, 'Ri -A -we. jii
