Realuzung that our depleted treasury could stand some replenushung un order to see us through our two most umportarut years we sponsored a successful magazune druve gave two partues un the gym and presented a three act play One Foot un Heaven under the durectuon of Mrs Lyon At the close of our uunuor year came the maun event The departung senuors were gracuously entertauned wuth a Junuor Senuor prom un the gymnasuum Those who had labored so undustruously on the preparatuons felt that theur work was not un vaun when ut was proclaumed a huge success At last that all umportant year arruved and lO5 of us became senuors and prospectuve graduates As thus hustory us beung recorded and that long awauted day lues uust around the corner ut seems luke only yesterday when the class came together for uts furst meetung and elected uts offucers and spon sors They are Bob Quave presudent Tommy Hauthcock vuce presudent Nellue Mae Potter secre tary Dolores Mynatt treasurer and Mrs Lyon and Mr Mattus sponsors Commuttees were appounted to begun the selectuon of a class motto song and colors Thus year many of our members have contunued to add stars to our crowns of servuce and honor We have served as club presudents team captauns head cheerleader edutors of the Blue and Whute and the Roar band captaun and Drull Squad captaun Eught sentors were tapped unto the Natuonal Honor Socuety addung to the group of nune who were taken un durung our uunuor year Thus made a total of seventeen students selected from the class for thus hugh honor They are Ella .lo Swope Dorus Gub son Jo Ann Marlowe Ann Scrudder Barbara Sue Smuth Bo McClaun Nancy Roberson LeNelle Mc Calman Dolores Mynatt Johnny Wulson Russell Davus Orma McMurray Wulluam Walker Betty Lou Moody Shurley Evans Mary Ellen Myers and Ruby Ann Smuth Throughout the year there have been many thungs to remund us that our hugh school days are drawung to a close For example our last football game when Nellue Potter was crowned furst Home comung Queen the funal basketball games the employment tests Senuor Vocatuons Day at T Pl and our senuor memory books Several experuences pleasant and otherwuse wull no doubt fund a permanent place un our memo rues the Senuor Play Our Muss Brooks an entertaunuhg attractuon Mr Gasss B square phulosophy Mr Dye s hustory class where our spuruted campaugnung for Ike and Adlau un the November presu dentual electuon conxunced us that hustory us not a thung of the past ut us beung made every day all around us Stull we could add to the lust even more our senuor rungs the class meetungs where the gurls out numbered the boys three to one and usually got theur way the trup to Washungton un Aprul and the Crownung of our kung and queen Mr Red Bank Johnny Wulson and Muss Red Bank Nellue Potter Well tume stands stull for no man not even for one who us about to leave hus Alma Mater ln no tume at all, the Senuors of 53 wull at last be the proud possessors of duplomas Perhaps sometume un the future we wull look back on our school days at dear old RBHS as merely a small part of our luves an experuence of the past Realuzung how true thus may be nevertheless l strongly belueve that we wull alWaYS remember the umportance of that small part un mouldung the pattern of our future ln short NOW could we ever forget Red Bank Hugh?
