M ALLEN COUNTY PUBLIC 3 1833 01856 2089 GC 976 402 B4750W, 1963 THE OWL Presented by THE ANNUAL STAFF 1963 REAGAN COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL BIG LAKE, TEXAS Dear Staff, All of our troubles as far as the OWL is concerned are over. We have met all of our deadlines -- though barely--, and our annual is complete. 1 hope that you have enjoyed working on the OWL as much as I have. I appreciate the work that each of you did and I hope that you can always look back through this annual with the pride of a great accomplishment. Mrs. Havenhill, speaking for the whole staff, I would like to thank you for all the help you gave us and for all the work you did to complete the OWL. You were right there whenever we needed you, and you never got mad when we did things wrong. Without you I don ' t believe we could have completed this annual. I can ' t think of anything better to say than thanks for being such a great sponsor . Gary, as assistant editor, you did your job well. I want to wish you luck with your OWL next year. Judy and Diane, as business managers, handled all of our business problems well, while Shannon showed exceptional talent as art editor on the Unusual Students pages as well as the other art work, and our photographers Bill, Johnny, and Tommy were always on hand to get a good picture. I would like especially to thank the members of the staff that are in the sixth period class, for they had something to do with every phase of the annual. Dorthea and Phyllis were our chief square drawers ; Joe Dan was our chief typist; Carolyn was our chief cut- up and chief picture paster; and Barbara was my right-arm. Barbara did everything from writing letters, to making up pages, and making sure that everything was done right. Although there is not room for me to mention everyone by name, I would like to thank every member of the annual staff for the work he did and the time he spent to complete this annual. You were an excellent staff. Staff, haven ' t we had fun this year? I think you are the greatest bunch of kids yet, and 1 have enjoyed serving as your editor. I think that we have given Reagan County High School the largest and greatest OWL yet, and it was because of the fine work that you put into it. I hope that you enjoyed it as much as I did. Thanks again to all of you, and good luck in the future. Douglas Proffitt Editor DEDICATION So long as we love we serve So long as we are loved by others We are indispensable. And no man is useless while he has a friend . The members of the student body proudly present the 1963 Owl to their friend BOBBYE ROBBINS A little bit of quality will always make them smile; A little bit of courtesy will bring them in a, mile; A little bit of friendliness will please them it ' s plain — And a little bit of service will bring them back again.
