Rlmlllllm SENIOR ASSEMBLY ITH the aid of Dutch caps, tulip beds, and Wooden shoes, one of the final events of the Senior school year-namely, the l938 Senior Hssembly-was presented to a fascinated student and teacher body on .Flpril 29, 1938. Pill preparations necessary for the final performance of this delightful musical romance was either made directly or supervised by the Senior Illssembly Committee. This group, in representing the class, selected the script submitted by Hrthur Watson, and proceeded with the task of doing all in its power to make this Senior Hssembly a smashing success. Nipped in the Bud deals with Katrinka Van BunkerbootCCarolyn Kissingerj and Iakob Von Standaloot Cljrank Baumanl, a Dutch boy and girl thwarted in their romance by par- ents Who are in turn rivals in a national tulip raising contest. The roles of the parents were taken by Doras Smith, William Good, Regina Leszczynska, and Ioseph Sandler, the Gov- ernment Messenger by Lloyd Miller, and the Minister by Forrest Laufer. H dancing chorus and a singing chorus gave, with their respective artistic contributions, added zest to the play. One of the outstanding features of the production Was the very novel and colorful stage arrangement. The presentation of this successful piece of dramatic Work marked the passing of an occa- sion dreamed of for three high school years and planned with the greatest of hopeful an- ticipation and happiness.
