The RHS curriculum boasted a modern language department with approximately 459 students enrolled in either Spanish, German, or French. Use ot the language laboratory provided the individual student the opportun- ity to listen to native speakers. ln addition to this, magazines, songs, dialogues, and films were also used to vary classes and provide a more interesting course ot study about toreign people. Diana Mange takes advantage ot Mrs. Martin 's early hours by checking out an outside reading book before school. Talking with Randy Bates and Denise Coppedge gives Mrs. Turner a break from her duties as a librarian at RHS. Librarians Rfk. 'QQ' Mrs. Mary Helen Turner Librarian Mrs. Mary Ann Martin Librarian Baytow'n's librarians spent most of this school year aiding the BHS student body and faculty. The library continued to be one of the busiest areas in the school, accommodating from 25 to 135 people in an hour. This year the library opened at a new time of 7:30 a.m. Since the study halls were moved to the stu- dent lounge more students could tind more time to work on research projects during the day. More modern books were ,added to the library to aid students inturthering their ed- ucation and for the pleasure ot reading. While Mrs. Martin answers a question tor a student be- tween hours, Mrs. Turner, with library helper, Nancy Bellamy, checks to find overdue books. . MMS- ef ,..
