Principals RHS principals guide students Outside of supervising high school activi- ties, Mr. Hanks, Mr. Beissenherz, and Mr. Craig helped to schedule classes, discipline students, sponsor clubs, check attendance, and solve teacher and student problems. A bachelor of science degree in education, a master's degree in education, and classes in school administration were necessary re- quirements to become a principal at RHS. With this background and experience, RHS principals brought faculty, students, and the staff closer together. Responding to this demand, the counselors performed a variety' ot tasks such as enrolling almost two thousand stu- dents, providing information concerning col- leges or vocations, administering standard tests and interpreting the results tor the stu- dents. Because ot a growing student enroll- ment, an additional counselor joined the tac- ulty this year to improve the service to the students. The counselors also worked with individuals to achieve a better understanding between the teachers and students. The coun- selors at RHS made a valuable contribution by helping the students make decisions con- cerning their futures.
