gy . ,462 Adm! Now hear this! Now hear this! An unidentitied group, numbering 59, has invaded the cam pus of the once tranquil RHS. Be on the lookout! They are armed and considered dangerous! Persons knowing the exact location of these invaders are asked to call Chief Taylor V. Cremeans. Yes, we were indeed armed to the teeth-with newly sharpened pencils, notebook and crisp, spanking new textbooks, but as for being dangerous we were quite the opposite. We, as green freshmen, were now entering our first year of high school, an experience so full of excitement and wonder that we shall long remember it. Our representatives to student council for that year were Jim Purdy and John Staats. For that very trying first year, with all the new problems, we elected John Staats, presidentg Junior Click, vice president: Lawrence Suck, secretary, Janet Morehead, treasurerg and James McCoy, class historian. During our sophomore year Peggy Moore, James McCoy, and Larry Cobb were our representatives to student council. Our class officers were Larry Cobb, president, Lawrence Suck, vice presidentg Virginia Kinzel, secretary, and Dwight Roush, treasurer. With our junior year, came many opportunities to express leadership. We had now overcome our social shyness and were gaining membership in several clubs as our interest in extra-curricular activities mounted. That year saw us staging our class play Tiger Housei' directed by our sponsor Mrs. J Wilbur Evans. Dorothy Shockey, Brenda Pinnell, and Larry Cobb represented our class in student council of which James McCoy was elected president and Larry Cobb, secretary. We had elected as our junior class officers: Alan Reynolds, presidentg George Kopcsak, vice presidentg Larry Jordan, secretaryg Loretta Norman, treasurerg and Janet Morehead, historian. The seniors were presented with the annual banquet for Juniors-Seniors, the theme of which was Moonlight and Roses. Our senior year found many of us busy as leaders of the student body. We, as seniors had to set the example for underclass- men. Our president of the student body, James McCoy and Larry Cobb, secretary, helped to set that example. Brenda Pinnell was named homecoming queen and Dave McCoy, king. The annual class plays were banned because of lack of facilities. Senior year at RHS, Alan Reynolds was elected presidentg George Kopcsak, vice presidentg Larry Cobb, secretary: Janet Kerwood, treasurerg and Loretta Norman, historian. Our representatives to student council were Bill Rardin and Pat Merrill. This just about completes the record of another class at RHS but the last page we leave open for future achievements of our classmates to be written down. We are now considered a finished product of a great corporation of learning but we shall never forget how humble we felt as our Alma Mater was being played, our basketball and football teams saying a prayer in their huddle just before each gameg the feeling that we were a part of good old RHS. ln the sacred halls of ivy, that surround us here todayg that we will not forget though we be far, far, away.', 15

au Fzwpfaecq When dear old RHS was torn down The records of the class of '57 were found. Some were good and some were bad But they all graduated and for that we're glad. Because of the history that was made The following milestones were laid. ,Ioe Rhodes, photographer on Life Magazine, covering the American Beauty contest. Alan Reynolds the new sensation since Elvis died out. Val llastin as a missionary nurse, fighting off the insects in the deep dark jungle of Africa. What kind of weapon do you use, Val? DDT or a fly swatter. Eddie Ford giving his Hrs! filibuster in Congress. He didn't get enough of speech making in American Problems. Wayne Fletcher starring in the movie at the ,Iur instead of showing it with Marilyn Monroe as his co-star. How'd you do it? Carl Kuehnert getting through college without reading a single book. just using all his college English diaries. We wonder if he passed ROTC yet. Terry Hamriek, Patty Riffle, and Carolyn Headley deserting Elvis Presley for Liberace. They like his style and looks much better. Besides that, Elvis doesn't have a candelabra. I Ronnie Allen working hard at Macy's in New York, testing mattresses. Thought he got caught up on his sleep in Economics. Jimmie jackson and Ronnie Hamilton all-stars on Africa's first football team. It looks like we'll be hearing from Africa. Earl llalis now living in Texas. where he has all his oil wells, cattle, and cadillacs. He needs the money to build a new grapevine at his farm. Pat Merrill teaching school in Fort Wayne, lndiana. Can't understand what Pat is doing in Fort Waynellll 16
