VARSITY Coach Tom Crane 's Varsity five entered the S.P.A.l.. basketball race and found it rough going, as expected. Next season, however, Crane will have four of his five starters returning. He will also look forward to having Milt Dickerson and Nate Branch coming up from the B team. Senior captain, Gary Long, proved to be a consistent scorer at forward with talented fresh- man, George Raybon, another scoring threat, at the opposite forward. Tim Johnson, working at center gave some excellent rebounding per- formances, and freshman, ArtCrum ably backed up Johnson at center. The ball-hawking guards were Charles Frazier and Jim Knaules. Frazier transferred midway through the season, and James Mosely and Walt Warren alternately re- placed him with the first unit. Highlights of the season were the first varsity win against Qamden in the MT. View tourney and the second against Buchser in a pre- league game. ln S.P.A.L. activity, the Tro- jans were winless, but gave several outstanding performances including games with Palo Alto and Carlmont.
