Westfall doing her shopping. Eleanor told me that the best milkman around here is Deryl Porter. lim Mahan has his own service station. Hall Baker, Gerald Boggs and Al Brode are his best mechanics. Lois Fulweber and Norma Clark are teaching in Nancy Knapp's new business scnool. Mari- lyn Schlauch has opened a similar business in Akron. Ellen Hoff has made Ravenna her home since her marriage. Once in a while she sees Pat Garro and joe Miniscalco who are athletic instructors in our dear alma mater . Dick Collette is in business for himself now. Janice Cope and Donna Dix are his secretaries. Warren Thomas, Don Shutiok, and Ned Underhill and jack Vacarro have completed their graduate courses in the field of science. They are planning peacetime uses for atomic energy Marlene DeAngel and Gloria Fullum have passed civil service examinations and are working in their laboratories as secretaries. Bill Hughes, Bob Iverson, and Roger Smith left for the wild west. We've heard that Bill will star in a new movie. Phyllis Eikleberry is Mr. Watters new secretary. The job has become so pressing that Donna Kissel has been hired to help out. By the way, Matt Schugar and Charlie Maimone were re- elected to the Board of Education in the last election. Erla Jean Lewis and Suzanne Miller are traveling throughout the United States to observe organizations of the Rainbow Girls. When they were in the western states they saw Bunny Portale and Dave Papiska who are looking for gold. Doug Peters is a big shot in the Isaly Dairy now. He serves special meals when the class of '51 visits him. ' . Ray Neiswanger, Gary Postlewait, Keith Kruger, and Dick Prisby are working in Ravemia. When I talked to Dick I learned that he was going to see the Kent State basketball team per- form. The team has won several championships due to the coaching of Ronnie Stefanisc and Wayne Paris. Leon Proctor and John Watt have gone to Europe. Leon is studying music and John is an exchange French teacher. Frank Bosko has gone back to Cuba to encourage more friendly relations between the countries. Paul Iaqua is opening a new factory. Ronnie Burt and Jerry Spinelli are in charge of two of the departments. Ruth Weisenberger has been accepted by Phil Spitalny as a member of his all girl orches- tra. I learned from some of the girls that Mary Karaffa, Mary Prusak, and Elisa Tambur- rino are employed by the F. B. I. Pat Whittam is also in government work. When I heard that Betty Trivelli had made the Air Force Cadets, I had accounted for all my classmates except for one. I found her when I visited Florida. Cleon Wilson is resting there until her next modeling contract is signed. As you can see the class of '51 has spread out and grown ten years older. 29

7'lewf2 ,4 OULD you like to know what the class of '51 is doing? I didn't have anything special planned for a vacation this summer C196lJ so I visited my old classmates. I found Janet Bender, Alice St. Clair, and Diana Chiappone working in New York. The girls are doing a fine job of designing the latest fashions. Janet read a letter from Ann Miles telling about her job as a fashion illustrator. Ann is working at the MGM studio in Holly- wood. It was a pleasant surprise to find Pat Anderson and Nancy Jones teaching in some of Ohio's best elementary schools. Also, after receiving her degree, Marjorie Stewart was hired to succeed her father as principal at West Main. Others who have made good in the education- al field are Barbara Bankson and Mary Lou Hartle who have the task of teaching girl's physical education. When I talked to these girls they said that Joe Meduri is head football coach at Ohio State. John Mascio is coaching basketball at the same place. According to Betty Mansfield, secretary to Dr. Bud Rice, Helen Rudd, Ianet Schwenk, and Theresa Damicone have excellent jobs in prominent Ravenna business establishments. Lois Collier has taken over Miss Green's job as school nurse. As superintendent of nurses at Robinson Memorial, Pat Rupert is doing a fine job. Rose Sarrocco, Iune Gill and Suz- zanne Klein have been accepted as efficient nurses at the same place. The hospital's ex- cellent meals are planned by head dietitians Betty Postlewait and Carol Bassett. Ted Gray is editor of The Evening Record. Walt Serafin, Frances Nagella, and Ray Coia, have helped him to succeed in having the best possible newspaper. Ted doesn't have to worry about the financial arrangements for the paper because Virginia Kohl, Betty Rose Cline, and Nancy Delin are taking care of that. Betty has recently been honorably dis- charged from the Spars. Larry Harper, Kenny Wolff, Wayne Short, Mike Bica, and Bob Hull have formed their own band. They play for all the important dances and I've heard that they are very sweet and mellow. By the way, Wayne's playing is only a sidelight. If you are planning a new home, hire him as the architect. He's tops. Dorothy Roppel, Valerie Ward, and Bob Kauffman are the stars of a new hit being di- rected by Donna Ridenour. Don't miss it. Tony Filomena is the new manager of Schine's theater, Dave Borden, jim Cartwright, and Jim Ensinger have jobs under him. That new team of midget auto racers about which we've heard so much belongs to Warren Nelman. When I stopped in the A Ka P market managed by Way Anderson, I met housewife Eleanor 28
